Back to the Coal Mines

So, tomorrow is the Big Day; I go back to work. I've been off work and on Maternity Leave for four months. I know how gosh darn lucky I am to have had that time, but I don't want it to be over. It's a lot more fun to stay home, blog, and be with my baby than to have to deal with customers for 8 hours a day. I'm trying to think of the good stuff. It will be nice to be in the book world again, and I love working on projects, I just HATE customers and customer service. I really wish I had never taken the promotion because I loved working in Receiving. I got to work with the books and not have to deal with customers and I had a regular schedule, but I needed the money the promotion offered me. Oh well. I just have to deal. So, if I have time tomorrow night I'll let you know how it went.

I know just how you feel about customers Nancy. I used to work for British Gas in their Customer Service department and I hated dealing with customer attitudes (although some were nice). I was so glad to move to be a radio operator where I only dealt with the engineers - and I could tell them off if they got too awkward :-) I will be looking for work next year when I graduate and I will be avoiding customers at all costs if possible. Good luck tomorrow and I hope you get the nicest customers all day x

Thank you Sharon! :) I actually did get the nicest customers today, even the scammers were nice and didn't give me problems.
