The Artist in Our Family

I realized this morning that I haven't posted much about Aaron and his art projects. He's a busy boy with the art. He has got some great projects in the works. Here are a few of them:

This is an art piece (mock-up of an album cover) he put up on his Robotech blog last night:

He also has a web site where he features his Live Action Graphic Novels. He has one called Victim_, one called Chased/Chaser, and he is working on one based on Robotech.
I recommend you check them out, not just because he is my sweetie, but because they are really cool!
Here is some more art from his blog DigitalCole:

I Couldn't Have Said it Better Myself

I got up this morning, made my coffee, and sat down at the computer; Baby G was asleep (Thank you!). The computer screen was showing a post, not yet published, that Aaron had been writing. My guess was that he needed me to proof read it for him before posting it. I'm his editor and occasionally proof his writing, and I do a much better job editing others writing (though I don't proof read well at 4 in the morning), just not my own, hehe. By the end of the post I was teary-eyed, and felt that I really needed to share his post here. It's a long one so get a snack and a drink....

After you read, be sure to stop by and look at his artwork for sale on Ebay, here, here, and here.

Happy V-day!

I'm not generally one to celebrate holidays, any holidays; I've been in retail too long and am very jaded about them. But today has been good so far. I got this:

Here's a close up of that little shiny thing on top of the box:

And before anyone says anything about how broke we are and "how could you afford that?!" The ring was free and not gained in any criminal fashion. I was about to pull out a can of kick-ass on him after I found it in the box, after I cried that is. But he let me know how he got it right away, so I hugged him again, and told him what an awesome man he is.

Aaron is the most fabulous thing to ever happen to me (besides having kids). I finally have a lover who is a best-friend, and someone I trust (I have trust issues born from my very selfish father, which I may or may not write about here some day). He is not afraid to express his love for me, he's not afraid to show his emotions to me, and he's someone I can be real with, and I appreciate that.
Love Ya Sweetie!

[Update (1pm): The other gift I got today? A migraine. Thanks so much!]

Hair Inspiration

Check out what Aaron has been doing during his shifts with Baby G:

All inspired by hair in the shower. That is a sign of a true artist...and a messy house.

Sweet Aaron

He just got home from work and I told him what happened. He's on his way to pick me up some Rolaids and Gatorade.
